_ In the frame of the collaboration with Alga Marghen, Argos archived the catalogue of the label. A discussion between Emanuele Carcano and Ive Stevenheydens focuses on the roots, current position and future of the label plus on the significance of the Alga Marghen catalogue for the Argos archive. The evening tries to sketch out an historical perspective on the ideas, legacy and context of the so called sonic avant-garde and the revolving experimental music scenes since World War II. Sonic art versus sound art, the role of the object in sound and music culture, 'obscurity', 'sound poetry', 'fluxus' and 'mixed media' are just some of the concepts and key terms that will be discussed in a vivid presentation that includes snippets of sound- and image material of the Alga Marghen catalogue, intertwined with loads of juicy anecdotes.
